Anderson has been shooting “Asteroid City” in Spain since August. Plot details have been kept very hush-hush, but we do know that the film is said to take place in Arizona and not Spain. According to Spanish newspaper El Pais, Anderson has been filming " “Asteroid City” in and around Madrid. The article confirms that sets were built to create a desert-like location typically seen in westerns, although the outlet confirms the film will not be a western. Filming is said to wrap in less than a week. Meanwhile, Anderson’s latest confection, “The French Dispatch,” is set to be released release on October 22nd.
