“Dark Waters,” was Inspired by a true story and centers around Bilott, played by Ruffalo, whose environmental suit against Dupont Company would expose a decades-long history of chemical pollution. An excellent cast has been assembled for. Hathaway, Robbins and Ruffalo will be joined by a stellar cast which includes Bill Camp, Victor Garber, Mare Winningham, William Jackson Harper, and Bill Pullman. Haynes is a director that critics have grown to really love over the years. His decade-defining movies (“Safe,” “Far From Heaven,” “Carol”) have only aged more beautifully. However, his last movie, 2017’s “Wonderstruck,” an adaptation of Brian Selznick critically acclaimed children’s book, was his first critical disappointment. This latest venture of his does sound like Biographical Oscar-bait. An AFI Film Festival bow is all but assumed now for “Dark Waters”? Contribute Hire me
