Waters has posted up his top ten of 2019 on Artforum. Gaspar Noe’s “Climax” tops his list. A bubble-gum-tastic interview with Vulture, had Waters, earlier this summer, dishing out some dirt about life & career — more importantly, raving about Noe and “Climax.” “Climax” is the 2018 film that earned some rave reviews after its premiere at last year’s Cannes. The film tells the story of a dance troupe that celebrates at an after-party for a performance. Things descend into chaos when they begin to worry that their sangria was perhaps spiked with LSD. Waters is promoting his latest novella, “Mr. Know-It-All.” 1 Clímax2 Joan of Arc3 Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood4 Border5 Amazing Grace6 Hail Satan?7 Pain & Glory8 The Golden Glove 9 The Souvenir10 Joker “They make $75 million gross-out comedies that nobody thinks are that funny,” he said. “So, that’s over.
