We should all be up in arms about this. Panahi didn’t even get a trial, he was just sentenced straight to prison. Where’s due process? Where are his human rights? Panahi was protesting outside the jail, and basically got kidnapped by Iranian authorities. Iran is claiming he’s being locked up for “anti-government activity.” Panahi has a film called “No Bears” that’s set to premiere at Venice in September. If I were Venice boss Alberto Barbera, I’d pull out all the stops and turn the premiere into a massive political protest. Contribute Hire me
